It’s too cold out here: Aigüestortes National Park

Aigüestortes web-6

We are enjoying a great cold spell and we decided to move to Aigüestortes i Estany de Sant Maurici National Park in Catalonia Pyrennes searching the snow and amazing cold pictures.Aigüestortes web-8The park has an elevation range from 1600 to 3000 metres and contains four major vegetation zones: lower montane, upper montane, subalpine and alpine. It has a great variety of alpine vegetation, including dark-coniferous mountain forest. Tourist activities are regulated. Walking access is free, but it is forbidden to collect any rocks, plants, flowers or mushrooms, and hunting and fishing is prohibited. Camping is officially prohibited, although it can be possible to wild camp discreetly away from sight of the paths at one’s own risk. A beautiful park that we would like top recommend.  Here you have some pictures about it and our cold hiking. Nice to see it in our home!

Thank you very much!! It was a beautiful path but cold with -15 Celcius. You could think that Spain it is always sunny but we have amazing mountains and incredible natural park like Aigüestortes. I would like to recommend to visit!!

Thanks for visiting my blog. Very beautiful series. I once was there in the summer; entering from a village called Boi, if I remember well. Thanks for sharing. Adios, harrie.
